The only promise we receive at birth is that one day we will die and say farewell. The greatest invitation we receive is to live fully and connect in love. We are constantly moving between life and death, between love and farewell.

Rituals invite us to consciously enter that in-between: the space between here and there, between us and them, between now, then and later. In that space we honor everything we are — pain and release, darkness and light, death and life, farewell and invitation.

With N’oubliez Jamais — It’s in Your Destiny, Griet Goeminne and Annemie Vrints (VaarTwell) offer a ritual in which we explore that in-between together through lecture, sound, music, and creative expression.

What to Expect

We believe in the courage, love and creative power within each of us.

Presence & Connection

During this half-day we make space for the story of farewell that still lives within you. We meet this with silence, light and love — and then allow it to flow through our hands into a tangible tribute.

Lecture: Speaking of Death

As ritual leader and founder of VaarTwell, Annemie shares a text she wrote for this event — a talk that guides us back through remembrance to the source of love and the golden center within us.

Sound Moment

We close the lecture with an intimate intuitive moment on harmonium and the singing of Griet, then slowly sink into the silence where we explore the in-between spaces.

Creation as Tribute

We will be invited into a creative act of tribute — simple, accessible, and deeply meaningful. Please bring something small that connects you to the person, animal or situation you are honoring (a little ash, a scrap of cloth, a photo, a lock of hair, a small drawing or text). This will be incorporated into the created tribute.
